Madyan and Yacin De Welle founded OPTIMUM TRACKER in 2009 with the firm intention of contributing to the growth of the Energy Transition.
Based in the south of France, on Meyreuil, the Group designs produces and installs solar trackers and equipment consisting of motorized solar panel support controlled by AI algorithms. This technology, inspired by the sunflower, enables photovoltaic panels to follow the sun’s path, smoothing and optimizing power plant output.
With a staff of 40, half of whom are engineers, the Group stands out for its numerous patents and expertise in AI and mechanics. Thanks to its know-how, OPTIMUM TRACKER responds perfectly to the challenges facing manufacturers and operators of solar power plants: simplifying installation, maximizing production and reducing maintenance costs. A forerunner in agrivoltaics, the Group also launched a range of trackers in 2015, enabling the combination of improved agricultural yields and renewable energy production on the same plot of land.
Since its creation, OPTIMUM TRACKER has delivered more than 70 projects and deployed more than 1,000 MWp, 75% international, in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. Its expertise in adapting equipment to extreme conditions has enabled it to establish a foothold in fast-growing emerging markets. In 2024, OPTIMUM TRACKER delivered its first project in the United States.
ATOUT CAPITAL has advised OPTIMUM TRACKER on an equity and quasi-equity financing round of up to €10 million. On this occasion, the Group welcomes to its capital ORAXYS, which supports companies focused on preserving nature, resource efficiency and health.
Together, they aim to (i) strengthen sales and R&D teams, (ii) pursue international expansion by developing projects in new countries such as the United States, and (iii) consolidate the Group’s pioneering position in agrivoltaics.
