The Spanish company METROVACESA is one of Spain’s and Europe’s major real estate groups.

Until now, METROVACESA has held a 95% shareholding in the company MEDEA, listed on NYSE C (ISIN FR000006332-MEDE).

MEDEA (former UGIGRIP) has no staff and has no operational activity. ATOUT CAPITAL advised METROVACESA in the transfer of 96.7% of MEDEA’s stock to ARTEA. ARTEA is a French real estate firm having associated activities in energy and services in the following areas of activity: – Development – through its subsidiary Arteprom, – Property management – through its subsidiary Artecom, – Environment and Renewable Energy – through its subsidiary Artesol ARTEA purchased a majority block of shares at €0.89 per share.

Following this takeover, ARTEA intends transferring real estate activities to MEDEA, during the first half of 2014.
