Founded in 2004 by Matthieu BRUGIERES and Benoit JOBERT, the AXIS Group manages a portfolio of approximately 9,000 m² of furnished housing with associated services, offering an upscale and particularly flexible offer to its tenants.
With an asset base valued at around 29M€ per appraisal (Cushman DTZ – dec 2015), an occupancy rate of more than 95% and a steady growth with a good control of its LTV ratio, the Group has become the leader in its sector in the Bouches du Rhône department (area in the South of France).
As a continuation of its activities under the Hi FLAT brand, AXIS is launching a new format for residences combining ultra-connected furnished accommodation, flexible shared offices in a co-working format and leisure areas targeting an urban clientele of 25-35 years. The first residence under the BABEL brand will open in Marseille in the Spring of 2017, rue de la République.
ATOUT CAPITAL advised AXIS on a bond issue of 5M€ to support the financing of the Group’s growth plan.
With this first bond transaction, the Group is diversifying and completing its sources of financing, which were until then essentially banking. AXIS will be able to establish its sales force and take advantage of increased leverage to position the Group on major operations throughout the national territory.
This bond was fully subscribed by ZENCAP AM, an asset management company specialized in private debt investment and a subsidiary of the OFI Group, which is part of a long-term partnership with this real estate operator.
